Site Qualification and Training

Consistency is key.

ACR Image Metrix™ provides staff with supplemental training specific to their job roles (i.e., reader training for reader studies, data management plan training, monitor plan training, software and technical training for software or other tools used in a study, etc.). Our staff is also rigorously trained on GCP and SOPs to assure compliance with regulatory standards.

ACR Image Metrix has many years of experience in getting sites online and up-to-speed very rapidly. We create a site qualification questionnaire incorporating all the necessary qualifications outlined in both the Independent Review Charter and the imaging protocol. This facilitates a detailed technical evaluation of each site and identifies the responsible imaging technologist and radiologist.

ACR Image Metrix will create a comprehensive technical database for each site and record the results of all technical evaluations. Sending test cases to our imaging core laboratory for evaluation, we recommend one-on-one assistance if your site is experiencing difficulties.

At a minimum, we will develop a PowerPoint presentation and/or video to highlight the key parts of the imaging protocol and identify areas of concern or potential difficulty. A designated ACR Image Metrix team, comprising the project manager, data manager and an imaging technologist, will be sent to the investigators’ meeting. Training will include what has been described above.

We have found it valuable to educate the clinical research associates (CRAs) managing the therapeutic aspects of the trial on the key imaging components and would be glad to conduct a session for them as well.
