Technology

Unlock your potential with technology.

ACR Image Metrix™ understands how critical the integration of technology is to your clinical trial. For that reason, ACR Image Metrix’ Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) and our proprietary image management system, TRIAD-OA™, are used to obtain, track and manage critical, study-specific data. Each study has its own Web address where case reports, study manuals, protocols and other study documents reside. The portals are customized for each project, with security layered into each section. Because images and image case report forms are credited to the calendar upon receipt, Metrix TM, our CTMS system, can run delinquency reports on demand or on a predetermined schedule to keep your study on track. Designed to interface with other informatics initiatives, our technology is key to helping
you realize your clinical trial goals.

Software Validation
Guidance for Industry: Computerized Systems Used in Clinical Investigations applies to computerized systems containing any data relied on to support a marketing application. This includes images and the workstations on which the images are viewed. These systems must be validated, and ACR Image Metrix maintains strict adherence to GCP validation principles. While the device manufacturers are responsible for meeting FDA requirements for software development, using the device in a clinical trial requires user testing/performance qualification based upon the work that will be done at that workstation.

Performance Metrics
Our experience, based on over 9 years of working with American College of Radiology Imaging Network® (ACRIN®) on over hundreds of imaging trials and involving more than 75,000 subjects, is unsurpassed. As a result, no one can provide a greater depth and breadth of specific therapeutic and modality experience or more flexibility in serving the needs of customers. The following metrics, developed by the Metrics Champion Consortium, are available from ACR Image Metrix on a scheduled basis as determined by the sponsor needs. Imaging Performance Metrics v 1.0 (Imaging Metrics Champion Consortium).

Metric Category Metric Title
5 Image Acquisition Average number of calendar days from image acquisition to image receipt
6 Image Acquisition Average number of calendar days from image receipt to initial feedback to site
8 Image Processing Average number of calendar days from image receipt to ready for independent review
9 Image Processing Average number of calendar days from when the image is designated for review to completion of the review
10 Image Quality Percentage of suboptimal (but evaluable) images
11 Image Quality Percentage of non-evaluable images versus total received
12 Image Quality Percentage of non-evaluable baseline images
13 Missing Imaging Percentages of missing imaging visits
14 Image Queries Percentage of site queries
15 Image Queries Average number of calendar days an imaging query is outstanding
19 Acquisition Protocol Robustness Number of image acquisition technique-related amendments per modality per protocol

When you select ACR Image Metrix as your imaging partner, your development project will receive rigorous attention for quality control and adherence to GCP principles. Our operational technology is SOP-driven from the initial validation to image acquisition and interpretation. The performance metrics we observe and the CTMS we utilize provide your program the key to seamless imaging integration.
